Norton Internet Security 2011 -£21

been looking for new security and i came across this on Amazon http://www.amazon.co.uk/Norton-Internet-Security-Computer-Subscription/dp/B0040JGNH6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&m=A2AF4G71T1FZQM&s=generic&qid=1308819144&sr=1-1

Seems to be the cheapest out there at the moment, £21, but it is a digital download only and is for 1pc 1yr.

Just what I was looking for!! I aslo found a 3 user one in Argos for £24.99. It's a 2010 version but still a bargain!!

Norton not be the hungry system resource hog it used to be and is now a decent product but the price is still too much..

Stick a pound in barclays and get kaspersky free..

norton 2011 3pc one year 24.99 at tesco in store. Bought it last week. I,ve also used a free one from HSBC but laptop broke so needed a new one. People rave about AVG - we did that once and whilst we never had a virus, it made things run so slow. don't know if this is still the case as was a few years ago now.

  • No offence intended to dagsky, but everyone can save more than this and be better protected.

Microsoft provides a completely free antivirus/antimalware product called Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE). I've been using it for well over a year now, and have not had any malware problems since installing it.

MSE hasn't degraded my computer's performance - most of the time I'm not aware it's there. It does daily updates of its virus database, and a full system scan once a week (you choose when).

It is highly recommended by the computer experts in a help group I belong to, unlike Norton which gets a big thumbs down. Did I mention it's free? :)

Google it, or just go to the official Microsoft.com site for the download.

i would think its time to look for a new help group as Norton of now is great(apart from the price) . people who think its poor are going from Norton of the old when it was slow and sluggish but them days are long gone.. we now even have dual core and broadband...

whist i agree MSE is free and decent if you are going to suggest replacements wouldnt it be better to suggest enough to offer full protection?? as you offering a anti virus for an internet suite.

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped!
I was running Microsoft Security Essentials for ages on my pc but last weekend had 3 viruses caused by the fake 'vista security 2012' bug so bought Norton's 2011 Performance back and seems to be ok so far, tho am still needing to get used to different messages and alerts coming up lol. Gutted I never went to Tesco for it tho as I bought it in Comet while the guy was removing my virus and paid £29.99 for a 2 disc AV.
