Strawberry Net

Options
I hope this post is in the right place. Has anyone ordered from Straberry Net? I placed an order for cosmetcs/after shave for Christmas presents, but the post man has just put a card through the door to say I have to pay £11.52 to get the parcel. This makes my purchases not such a good deal. Their site says it will assist with tax etc where it can as a goodwill gesture but is not obliged to, any idea what this means?

Happened to me too on my first order. I didn't order from them again. I would pay the cash if you want the products, keep a scan / copy of the PO card that says they need the money and email it to strawbs asking if they could pay it or make a contribution.
  • I got charged once and I contacted them and they paid the full amount back to me, no hassle. They are very good.

I placed an order with them that I had to collect last Friday ~ I was charged £9:95 in tax so I contacted them, scanned in the receipt and they refunded me the charges.

Its a bit of a pain but it was still worth it and cheaper than all the rest :)

  • We got charged for tax last time we ordered with Strawberrynet (last xmas I believe) and they were excellent, they refunded the whole amount for us :)

I think the limit for buying online from an overseas retailer is £15 before you incur tax at this end, check the HMRC website as it is explained on there.
