Are these as good as a Dyson?

Always remind me of vacuums (not hoovers ;)) office cleaners use (or is that just me?)

They're very good, best we've had - almost industrial quality and I think a lot of builders choose them to clean up their mess. 10 original bags about £5 delivered off Ebay so no ripoff on the bags, either.

Brilliant,I loved my Henry. Builders do use them for cleating up, usually without the bag in - don't try this at home folks!

Folks, you've made an anxious civil servant (who doesn't know How Many More Years she has to do, let alone how much she'll be entitled to at the end) very happy. A collegue was coveting a Henry this week & thanks to MSE, not only did I find Henries, I also found Homebase & 15% off. She's delighted - & another colleague will buying a Henry en route home on a credit card. :A

I've got a Vax bagless 1600W swift vacuum cleaner now. It does an OK job, doesn't really need to be replaced. But anything that could make cleaning better/easier is good -- how does the Henry stack up against the Vax bagless, anyone know?

Also, do you have to stoop to use this, or is the extension tube as high as regular vac? Basically, for someone with back problems, is this the same to use as a regular vac, harder, easier? TIA

BTW, check your post -- I have a voucher from Nectar for 5 quid off each time I shop in Homebase and spend at least 30 quid until 6 July.

The only thing a Henry/Hetty has over a Dyson (apart from the obvious price difference) is the ease of using the pipe to get into corners etc. I use a Dyson at work every day, but some of our teams use a Hetty - the amount of crap you pick up from a carpet that has previously been Hettied is quite amazing. I suppose it all depends on how deeply you want your carpets vacuumed :)

Oh and the girls that use the Hetty suffer with back pain and carpets take twice as long to vacuum, but I suppose that's only relevant if you do a great amount of vacuuming!
Some people see the glass half full, others see the glass half empty - the enlightened are simply grateful to have a glass :)
