Hi all

Anyone had any dealings with Central Capital. Just had a call from them to say they can give me a loan at 13.9apr. ( over 4 years , £13k ) As our credit report is "Fair" unfortunately we couldn't go to a high street lender .

Any replies would be great before they ring back later today.

Thanks

Their website struck me as very short on information. It leads you straight into an application with only a vague 13.1% apr comment. These are obviously sub prime lenders.

raq, have they sent you an offer through in writing? If so you should read it very carefully for possible penalties and charges. You should also look at every alternative to borrowing money you can think of. Borrowing at these rates is very expensive.

thanks for the info. They did ring me back and should have paperwork from them by friday. I did ask about charges and if at any one time if I wanted to pay some money off or repay early then they would charge 2 months interest.

Unfortunately credit score wasn't that great for any of the high street lenders.

  • Ohhh don't touch them. I was offered a loan once but they kept changing this and that and I am assuming your loan will be secured...

  • Central capital is the name of the brokerage department in a big company based in Norwich. They are reputable and trustworthy.
    https://www.centraltrust.co.uk is the holding company.

As far as I can tell, a lot of the applications from Debtbusters go directly through to them. They deal with a whole spectrum of lenders from very prime right through to deep sub prime.

    THANKS FOR THIS ADVISE.

Had the paperwork yesterday but the only thing I wasn't happy with was the protection , rang them back and they where more than happy to change it.

Unfortunately this is the only way we can go . We are paying huge interest on the credit cards ( no worries, husband cut them up 2 weeks ago ) and when we worked it out it would take us 13 years to pay the cc. off.
