  • Hi hun - well done for taking the 1st steps you should be really proud of yourself. The best thing to do first of all is to post an SOA (Statement of Affairs) - there is a sticky at the top of the board from Southern Scouser to help you do it. Then the experts will be along to help, best of luck hun x

welcome to mse :D congrats on being a mum to a set of beautiful twins:T i`d say it was worth every penny of getting into debt for that outcome awwww what a fantastic result! dont feel lousy there was a perfectly valid reason behind it, at least you didnt waste the money on a hundred pairs of shoes and handbags! as for dealing with your debts as you say you have bought loads of kids "stuff" how about sorting through it and flogging as much as you can on ebay. i`d say be honest with hubby but i realise this isnt always as easy as it sounds. it sounds like you have started to make great inroads into your debt by cutting up the cards etc im sure with a bit of careful budgeting you will be fine, it all takes time but you will get there in the end. get your soa posted and lets see how we can sort your debt out a hundred eyes looking over it is far better than 1 we might be able to come up with some suggestions you have never thought of!;) have a fab chrimbo with your twins and come january really start to tackle this head on, best of luck... angchris xx
proper prior planning prevents !!!!!! poor performance! :p
Only when the last tree has died and the last river been poisoned and the last fish been caught will we realise we cannot eat money

  • Selling some things on ebay will be a great start - I pay money straight from my Paypal account into the bank with the overdraft to pay it off, so I am not tempted to spend it!! It will boost your confidence that you can do this, it may seem scary at first but you have taken some very positive first steps and should be proud of yourself. Have you got any books/CDs/DVDs that you could put on Amazon? This can also give you a bit of extra cash to put towards the debts.

You have definately started very positively, keep it up!!! and have a happy christmas with your lovely twins and OH - and that if you do tell him all goes well xxx
