geneer, if your (sic) just not going to understand an argument, there really is no point discussing it with you. :rotfl:
Because I understood it, I was able to discredit it.
Leaving you little choice but to fall back on the inevitable spellcheck and dummyspitting in an attempt to shrug it off.0 -

He will be publishing his lottery prediction tomorrow and will be proved right. All numbers will be correct!
The lottery is random and essentially unpredictable. Winning is down to dumb luck.
Hardly the same thing as analysing economic data, considering context and taking a position on future trends.
In other words your failed analogy is irrelevant.0 -

When it all boils down, all the people geneer argues with are all better off than he is, I think it's easier if you leave him to get on with it. Let him have his intellectual credit, and see if he can spend it in the real world. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. You're completely right. I was interested in why geneer made such sneery remarks all over the board so thought I would dig a little. It didn't take much digging to realise that he had a risky gamble on house prices, lost and is now simply venting his frustrations at everyone who he deems to be doing better than him.
I came to his notice when I mentioned my mate who also gambled on house prices and lost. The difference between my mate and geneer is that my mate held his hand up, said that he was the one who made the mistake and then he quietly got on with rectifying his error. Unfortunately, geneer isn't cut from the same cloth as my friend.
Geneer obviously has his issues and I feel that he needs to deal with them. I'm afraid that engaging him in debate just entrenches his psychological damage and so I have decided to avoid him on here from now on and would advise others to do the same. Geneer doesn't need arguments on forums, he needs assistance from mental health professionals. Let's all hope he seeks and receives the help that he needs before he descends any further.
Good luck geneer.0 -

:rotfl:Here you are leaving me to get on with it.

Thats a powerful fantasy you're creating there RM.
Transpires I've taken almost exactly the same risky gamble that you took. So, nah, if I'm even a portion as smug as you come across, frustration isn't what drives me.
Didn't take much digging to realise that your a somewhat pompous self-satisfied hypocrite who spends a lot of time on internet forums bigging himself up.
Nice sig by the way! :rotfl:RenovationMan wrote: »

Circumstances do seem somewhat similar to the last time you decided to avoid me (i.e. you losing the debate).
Tell me, are you once again going to stomp around the board telling everyone that your ignoring me.
Its kind of traditional for those clowns who spend post after mass-debating post fighting the wrong side of a losing argument before declaring that, hey, they didn't even want to argue after all.RenovationMan wrote: »

Good luck geneer.
Its not good. RM appears to be fully immersed in his fantasy land.

Geneer is the only person I have on ignore.
If he made and listened to salient points, it might proove to be a worthwhile debate, but alas not and I see people are still hitting their heads against a brick wall trying to reason with him.:wall:
What we've got here is....... failure to communicate.

Or if I hadn't whupped you good and proper.
Is there really anyone in the forum who doesn't know lite has me on ignore? I'm pretty sure he pops up on more threads with me than he did before.
Y'know, to tell us I'm on ignore.
Yep, that kind of stalking, thats some top class grade A ignorin' goin' on :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0
