    It doesn't always work, the Post Office is getting slated now on here.

    And I am yet to see a single company that doesnt have a bad comment anywhere, doesnt change the fact that if you look at brand opinion surveys the Post Office scores massively higher in elements like "trust" than the likes of Direct Line or LV and yet this doesnt translate into people being willing to pay an extra £5 a year for a brand they believe to be more trustworthy

    But you will find people complaining about them... a colleague for one who is having problems with LV -v- Enterprise Credit Hire -v- defective repairs by approved repairer

    I don't kow that the consumer does.
    Most of them want a fair service for a fair premium

    Well if you take airlines as an example then I am pretty sure you'll find people will sacrifice pretty much anything for the cheapest price.
    Most are not interested in fairness (for example for disabled people) or a good all-round service. Simply the cheapest price.
    FWIW - I don't think you (or I) fit into that category Mikey, but on the whole if something is cheap people will flock to it in droves.
    Sad but true.

    I never opt for cheapness, especially with flights, and indeed insurance, but I hate these admin charges...
