Have always been very happpy with Quidco and recommended it to friends however I am a little concerned as I have not been getting some Cashback just lately. Once I had contacted them I received this response:
Hi there,
We continue to send outstanding enquiries monthly to the merchant,
unfortunately there is little else that we can do. Technically, there is
no obligation to pay out on enquiries that do not track and considering
they have already secured a sale there is also little motivation. It
varies wildly between merchants, some resolve enquiries very quickly and
others never do but we do continue to chase them.
Kind regards,
Fiona
Anyway I thought I'd then contact the vendor and received this reply:
Thank you for your email regarding cashback.
We are sorry but we do not endorse any 3rd party companies that promise cashback from them or us.
If they have advised you that you are entitled to cashback you will need to take it up with them.
We do not and never have had any dealings with this company and we suggest that you contact them after looking at there terms and conditions on there website it is them that pay you the commission.
If you have any further questions or comments about the service we offer, please contact us - we're here to help.

However they and associate companies are on the Quidco site but in this email they are saying they do not have any dealings with this company.
Who's telling the truth?

Both are telling the truth. Quidco don't deal directly with companies but with the online advertising tracking agents that the companies use. Info here...

Like you, I'm starting to wonder about Quidco. A friend had one dealing with them and although tracked, the payment has not as yet been made. It was the Lloyds TBS car insurance offer of £120 per tracked transaction. So it will be interesting to see if the cash ever actually transpires. Greasypalm have a similar arrangement with Lloyds TSB that I know has worked in the past, but the amount is roughly half that of the Quidco offer which is why I advised my friend to take the Quidco deal.0

Well, for one the vendor probably doesn't know who Quidco are.
Quidco use affilliate schemes / programs. They just get offered higher rates than others because they push more custom through.
Cashback is not guaranteed, I wish it was! I personally have had dealings with Quidco for a year now and have received 750 and have 250 in enquiries. I can hand on heart say that I believe they are legit and that the service they provide is excellent.
All that will have happened by you contacting the vendor directly is that quidco will probably lose that site (they say they don't endorse cashback sites) and you'll have flagged with them that your enquiry - which they will have - is from a cashback site. No good can ever come of contacting vendors.0 -
It is totally legitimate.
Since Jan I have clocked up £1400 of cash back, receiving £727 so far. Not included in this are the enquiries I have sent (totalling about £150). I doubt I'll get paid for these at all.

Tracked £532.59
Validated £75.27
Received £76.80 (payment pending)

I think Quidco are genuine as I have had payouts from them. However, these payouts have been for relatively small sums, ie compared with their £120 offering for a successful tracking of Lloyds TSB's car insurance. I also use Greasypalm and have had to probe them a little on one or two things, but they have paid up in the end. I remember opening a query with Greasypalm earlier in the year and they closed the query saying no-can-do. But I insisted that they examined my query and opened another query on whatever it was I was querying and they subsequently relented and paid up.
The real question here is what form of legal redress does one have with organisations like Quidco and Greasypalm? Could one refer them to the Office of Fair Trading, or some other consumer protection entity if they didn't perform as promised. Is there a legally binding contract in place when we route our purchases via these outfilts? I think we need a legal person to advise on what a users rights are.0 -
When you say "Are Quidco Kosher" do you mean are they owned by the Jewish?0
