How does it being religious make it inappropriate? It is clearly marked as what it is, its not being forced upon you. Its a genuine freebie that I'm sure will be of use to some one.~Diminutive0

I agree with Diminutive, all to their own as to what you want to look at and it is free! Personally glad that a Christian pack has been included on here as well as we have had other faiths already.0

It's a little thingy.... what's the word..... Only a Vicar would need a display rack for his Church and i'm not sure that they come to freebie sites
Cool though if you go to Church , you could pass him/her it

'Religious freebies' are little other than thinly-disguised propaganda. Do I take it that it is smiled upon for anyone to post up any kind of irrational belief system here, just providing some kind of freebie is offered as the token fig-leaf?
You know - anything from, say, a freebie 'Christian Church Pack', via a freebie 'Satan Worship Beginners Pack', all the way to a freebie 'Nazi Party Introduction Pack'.
Where is the line to be drawn? Is there, as I suspect, an 'acceptable list' of 'cuddly religions' somewhere on the mods' instructions? Illogical and indefensible. Ban them all, at least from this forum. This site should have more self-respect than to be party to the distasteful practice of religious proselytism via pretend 'freebies'.0 -
There is no issue wih religious items, only an issue when people start arguing over it
Although this thread is proof its not just islam freebies that are argued about :rolleyes:0 -
Yawn..............
This thread is for a freebie, not a discussion on what should or should not be included on this site. Martin has already made his views clear on this subject.
As with all freebies. It will be of interest to some, and not to others. If you are not interested. Just ignore this thread, and find something you want to apply for, it really is that easy. How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?

If you feel a freebie is inappropriate then please report it to abuse@moneysavingexpert.com and it will be dealt with.
In this case however, I don't see anything wrong with it - the same way as I dont see anything wrong with the free Koran. This has been discussed many many times before. Yet just in case anyone is still confused, let me clear up the rules:
The fact a freebie on is posted on this board DOES NOT mean you have to apply for it. If you do not want the freebie the official MoneySavingExpert.com policy is do not apply for it.
Hope that helps!

You underestimate your MSE readership Mr Lewis. My understanding is that most readers here feel absolutely duty bound to apply for each and every freebie they see promoted here (whether needed/relevant or not)
More seriously, religion of whatever type has been divisive amongst mankind since we moved from walking on four legs to two (no offence intended to creationists for that one) and despite your best efforts I don't think you'll stop that now. I've mentioned it before and I'll say it again that it might be better for everyone if these types of freebies were kept off the Forum entirely.
All the best.0 -

Why is religious material any worse than your desire to ban it? It comes across as the typical "liberal" problem of wanting to stop anything that's not liked personally.
I'm not at all religious, or involved in any religious activities. However, I believe that in a free society it is perfectly acceptable to publish religious material. In the same way that I dislike attempts to censor films.Happy chappy0 -
What a surprise to see Edna post making yet another comment against religion.
Only now with a request to ban religious freebies from a forum.
I do not see how as you say:".. it might be better for everyone if these types of freebies were kept off the Forum entirely"
I fail to see how it would be better for everyone. Surely learning a bit more about what people believe, gives us better understanding of each other.0
