Additional Borrowing RBS

Hi,
Just applied for additional borrowing on my mortgage with RBS.
Our property is worth £150,000 and our mortgage balance is £92,000 so applied for £6000 for some home improvements (new drive and fencing
).
Applied over the phone and passed all credit checks so now I have to wait on offer letter, which comes from underwriters.
Just want to find out from anyone with experience with RBS if this is pretty much guaranteed now? Or can the underwriters still refuse
and also how long it usually takes?
Reason for asking is if I want my driveway done this summer I need to book now, as in this week! and do not want to book unless I know it is a defo on the money front!

Only you know if there's skeletons in the cupboard. If you handle your personal financial affairs in a proper manner then shouldn't be any issues.0

My experience with RBS mortgage dept. is that because it is all dealt with so remotely, it can cause problems.
Just make sure that you actually get the paperwork and when you sign it take copies and send it back at least recorded delivery, if not special delivery, if you don't want any delays.0
