Hi everyone,
I am one of those people who have quietly lurked in the background of these forums for months, using other people's posts doing my information gathering about the bankruptcy process.
I have now declared myself bankrupt and now nervously await the Wrath of the OR to bestow a well deserved BRU thou upon me! Anyway, thought I would join the club seeing how quiet it seems to be this month!0 -

Hi Dojoman,
15th July thank you. Have my telephone interview with the OR next week, do you know if they will tell you about what bro/bru you can expect (gambling) during that interview or will they wait until they have received more information from creditors? Going to be honest with them but without statements from last year I guess they will need more time?
Also, do you know if the OR is likely to accept token offers from partner to buy beneficial interest in jointly owned properties with no equity, or are they likely to wait the 2 years 3 months in the hope values increase?
Thank you0 -

Hi OSS and Welcome, I’m pleased you no longer are a lurker and well done on posting.
You will probably after your initial phone interview then be asked to a face2face one, nothing to worry about just be honest like you said. It could take 4/5 months before you know the length of your BRO/BRU.
No the OR will want the full amount agreed and more than likely will wait until the 2 years 3 months mark.
This thread may help re the gambling, it Amiga’s BR journey and may give you better insight.

Hi ifwisheswerehorses...
Thanks for your reply. Have already read Amigo's thread from start to finish and he must be a forum legend by now!
Sorry what I meant regarding the beneficial interest was that if the home has no equity, I read somewhere that the OR may accept £1,000 plus legals as a early settlement rather than wait the extra time, which may result in the interest being returned at no cost if there is still no equity?
Many thanks0 -

As you may tell I'm no expert with BI, I would start a new thread and and ask on the board "If wishes were horses, then beggars would ride"

Hi everyone, welcome to the July 2011
Bankruptcy Club.
This club is for everyone who has gone through the process of Bankruptcy during July 2011. So please feel free to join and post.
Pop your name on here, the date that you went Bankrupt and the stage that you are at now in your Bankruptcy. And then just keep everyone in the club updated throughout the next year about your journey through Bankruptcy. That way we can all stick together and compare notes and we will be there to support each other throughout the different stages in our Bankruptcy.
Remember this is your board so keep posting.
Obviously anyone can come on here and post anything that will help us all and you are all welcome. Any important questions that do need answering are maybe still better posted on the main board but if you do put it on here, then maybe we can help each other.
Hopefully it will be an extra place for friendship and support as we compare notes and discuss what is happening with our Bankruptcies.
Please leave a post when you have been declared BR, and I will update the list.
*PLEASE DO NOT INCLUDE TOO MUCH INFO, THE IS ARE KNOWN TO FREQUENT THIS SITE AND TOO MUCH INFO MAY MAKE IT POSSIBLE TO IDENTIFY INDIVIDUAL CASES, SO KEEP INFO TO A MINIMUM, ie USERNAME AND DATE ONLY.":pB&SC No. 298
