DMP Payment advice needed??

Hi.

We currently pay £350 per month with varying degrees of acceptance from creditors. My DH was made redundant last month but managed to find new job within weeks. He started on 14th June, but it looks like he won't be paid for this month until end of July.

I was going to write to the creditors with a £1 token payment this month, to be increased back to normal or even higher next month. How do they tend to react to this?

  • i think if you are upfront with them and explain the situation they will accept it. no guarantees but if you havent got the cash you cant give them anything

Better to keep them informed I would guess. Some may not be too happy though.

Thanks for advice. Guess they are going to have to lump it.
