Going br next month, however, I have no land line and no mobile. What will happen? My o.r. will be
some 25 miles away and I have no transport. Thank you for helping.

ok option 1 - find a friend/Family member and use there phone
option 2 - Find a charitable organisation that will give you a room and phone
option 3 - go to the OR's office (they can if necessary refund your transport, if you dont have a car)
option 4 - (last resort) the Examiner has been known to interview you in your homeHi, im Debtinfo, i am an ex insolvency examiner and over the years have personally dealt with thousands of bankruptcy cases.
Please note that any views i put forth are not those of my former employer The Insolvency Service and do not constitute professional advice, you should always seek professional advice before entering insolvency proceedings.0 -
Thanks, option 1 is no problem, however, I thought the o.r. called me with no date or time of this.0

I received a date and time by letter so the OR knew I would be in and waiting for the call. Obviously if I already had a prior engagement I would have spoken to the OR's office to rearrange the interview.
Some ORs do appear to ring 'on spec' though so it's worth mentioning your status to the Court clerk on the day. They should have an idea how your ORs office usually arranges things and be able to give you details to ring up and discuss arranging an interview.
I spoke to my ORs office briefly on the day as that's their procedure; you go BR and once the Order is stamped you get a quick phonecall before you leave the building. Other offices don't do this, they all have their peculiarities on how they work. When I joined, I needed a name. The forum members gave one to me...I am INAN

Many thanks. I will mention to the court clerk.0

Goodness, how do you manage without any phone contact?
You can always buy a very very cheap pay as you go - £3.95 I paid for my husband, and then I had to buy £10 top up - so £13.95, all ready to go and with money on the phone. If the OR is calling you, it wont cost you anything, and does make you contactable.'Don't judge me 'till you have walked a mile in my shoes'0 -
My OR interview was arranged in the initial phonecall at the court after going BR. They were very obliging and arranged a date that was suitable for the both of us.:pB&SC No. 298

I went BR on the Monday, and the OR phoned on Thursday to make an appointment to call back for the actual interview the following Thursday.'Don't judge me 'till you have walked a mile in my shoes'0
