Bought LCD/DVD combi from Argos yesterday, don't want it, how to return?

Options
As title really.

There is 1 dead pixel, but I do not want a replacement. I'm not happy with the product.

What sould I say to them to get my cash back?

I'm pretty sure Argos are okay about refunds, no?

Shall I just say I never tried it? I don't want to explain dead pixels to an Argos worker, when I have heard stories about a "3 dead pixel" rule, where a shop will only refund if there are 3 dead pixels.

Should be covered by the 16 day moneyback guarantee. Just take it back and say you're not satisfied and don't want a refund. More info here:

    Cheers

Smash the screen with a hammer. Then you'll have more than the three dead pixels needed.
It's not the taking part but the winning that counts.

I agree with marty1888 just say that the screen flickers and then it goes off after a period of time and that you have bought another one else where so you want a refund.

It won't make any difference to them as they will send it back to the suppliers.
Your really can not beat a good bargain !!!
  • Shouldn't have any trouble with Argos, they have always been great about returning things, just explain the problem and should be ok

Thanks for replies. T'was easy to get my hard earned cash back. She asked me if anything was wrong with it, I just said it was "unsuitable foe my needs!"

You do have a problem here as their policy is not to refund anything which can record. I THINK, they have this because there have been cases* where people use digital camera's for a little, -ahem- "bedroom entertainment", and they forget(?) to wipe the card before returning it.

Could be an urban myth, though
