Cheapest way to send a parcel to Germany?

Options
Hi,

I need to send a 3.6kg parcel to Germany ASAP - in time for Christmas would be good, but looks unlikely now! At the post office today I was told it would cost £36 - does anyone know of a cheaper way to send it, other than splitting it into 2 separate parcels weighing less than 2kg?

Thanks
Sam

  • I use

    http://www.interparcel.com/

Type in dimensions and weight of parcel and it will give you prices from a number of parcel delivery firms. My quote from DHL for a large parcel was £120 less than DHL direct.

Can print off customs declaration and bar code to stick on parcel (need printer to use service) and arrange collection from any Uk address between the hours of your choosing. Have used them on many occasions and have never been let down yet. Quick too !!

    Hope this helps

I love the post office. You should look after your local post office even if it means paying three or four times the rate
to send a parcel that won't go secured post and could get lost, damaged or stolen in the post.

Pigeon is normally the cheapest. Occasionally seagulls have an offer on (and 10% back through Quidco) but they're not as reliable.
It's not the taking part but the winning that counts.
