tonight ive just watched "Tonight with Trevor McDonald" they were shopping for xmas presents in different ways

one of the items on the list was a nintendo wii as one of the people went to new york this I thought was a bit miss leading as the consoles are locked to a region and would be an 110v machine

so for the average person I did not think it would be a good idea to buy this item from the states unless like me you have a step down transformer and dont mind buying import games all the time

I think the more misleading aspect of the US trip is that you would have to declare and pay import duty and vat on all those items.

If you disguise the items by say removing the tags and packaging, this is smuggling and can get you imprisoned.
