I'm new to OS and have been reading the new thrifty ways book, getting some good tips.
I'm confused about what vinegar to get. I've seen at Tesco on-line white wine vinegar and white distilled malt vinegar. Which is the one I need for cleaning?
Many thanks

Please help, I need white vinegar for my house cleaning but Tesco either doesn't have it or I can't find it.
Is white vinegar the same as distilled vinegar because that's all they've got.0 -
It is Distilled Malt Vinegar
My local Tesco have it on the bottom shelf near the other vinegars
There is a thread near the top. here is the link http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=3316600 -
Its usually with all the other vinegars. White vinegar is the clear vinegar as opposed to the brown malt vinegar. Mine has the words 'distilled' on it. Hope that helpsWe don't need to do it perfectly - good enough is exactly that GOOD ENOUGH.0

I'm sure I saw it in my local Tesco the other day.0

I believe if you spray 3% hydrogen peroxide (get from local (mainly old fashioned) chemist) and then spray white vinegar the combination results in one of the most powerfull (and very safe) disinfectants available. It's just a shame it's not very convienient though!0

If you can't find white vinegar in local supermarkets try asking if the local chippy will sell you a bottle.0

Hiya Kelly,
This is a common question for people who are new to old styling. I've therefore merged your question with an older thread to keep the answers together.
