How can I increase my income?

Hello all,
It seems like this is a wonderfully active forum, with lots of people adding to their income, but I can't seem to work out how people are doing it.
Lots of the Mystery Shopping, Cashback, Market Research sites seem like scams, and I'm sure I've been caught out by some bad ones in the past.
Could anyone possibly direct me to some resources I can read, or places I should join to try and earn a few extra pennies? I know how frustrating it must be having new people come and ask the same questions over and over - so I'm apologising in advance
