I don't think this has been done before but apologies if it has
I thought we could have a thread in which people could post what ingredients the have to cook with and MSE old stylers could give a recipe idea
EG - somebody posts they have carrots, rice, oranges, herbs, onions, stock cubes and a bit of butter
I would suggest -
Chop the onion and soften over a medium heat in a saucepan with the butter. Add the carrots, cover on low heat and leave for five mins, grate in the orange's rind and cover with boiling water and crumble in a stock cube, season with herbs, s & P. Leave simmering for 5 mins. Add rice and leave for 10 mins. Add juice of orange and put in a blender blending until smooth. If you have a chilli powder this would go well too. Serve with bread and butter if available.
I'm often stuck for ideas with what to do with my leftover stuff, but I'm sure others may have an idea that they'd like to share!!
