Shared ownership nightmare

Help needed please

I have looked all over the net for advice around this particular issue but am finding it difficult to find anything that relates directly to my situation.

I purchased a property Aug 2008 on a 50% shared ownership basis with a housing assoication. When i was shopping around for mortgages and getting quote original both myself and my partner were looking but she had such an adverse credit rating that they would only consider the morgage in my sole name (alarm bell no 1).

Unfortunatley the relationship broke down at the end of last year and i was put under conserable pressure to leave the property.

I have been living with my parents ever since which is far from idea and i cant afford to get anywhere else as i am still paying the morgage for the house i own.

The relationship was controling and i was forced into agreeing to add my expartner to the tenancy agreement after a year of being there (alarm bell no 2).

Since ending the relationship my ex has continued to pay the rent element and i have had to continue paying the morgage. I know she has a history of not paying bills and that is why she has such a poor credit rating.

I have asked he to leave the property (or to buy me out which is unlikely) but she refuses to respond to my or my solicitors letters.

In short i am the sole owner but a joint tenant and reaching the end of my teather with the whole situation. Last month i had to pay out 50% of my take home pay, to contribute to a house that i have not livied in now for nearly 7 months.
Any idears or sergestions would get gratefully recieved.
