I dont have a PC World code but would like to alert people to their 'collect@store' service which can give you big savings. Simply go to their website to order, when you go to the checkout you can select this service and then search for local stores that stock your item. You then give a name and contact phone number and the item will be reserved at your specified store (assuming it's in stock) for 2 days. This doesn't commit you to buying it. The system gives you a confirmation reference number and the item is normally available in one hour. You don't have to pay online, just go to the store with the reference number, collect and pay.
I bought a Canon inkjet printer (shop price £79) for £57 using this method. You just need to know what item you want before you go to the store and spend 5 mins online before setting off. I can't begin to work out the logic of this system for them but it can produce big savings. No free lunch, and no free laptop

Thanks for that info.
Am thinking of getting a Advent 7110 laptop. Has anyone else got one of these? If so suggestions and advice please. Not sure if the 40gb will be enough because want to store music on there for ipod, but other laptops are too expensive.
Any advice would be appreciated tonight. Thank you0 -
I don't know the Advent brand but would suggest you look for 60GB or 80GB as a minimum size. 40GB is about the smallest laptop hard drive you can get now and doesn't leave much spare.
I got a very good deal from Dell for £385 all in on a 60GB Inspiron 1300, probably better to look after Xmas when they're presumably quieter, as the price fluctuates according to demand (as they only build to order). No free lunch, and no free laptop

Just wondering if anyone else has found a code for PC World, or Currys that works.
Thanks0 -
Went into shop today and have decided not to get advent 7111 it looks quite tinny, sorry to anyone who has one, just personal opinion. Decided to go for either Compaq C350 or Futjisu V305. Any ideas from anyone. Its annoying cause they are the same price on pc world website as instore and there are none left at currys....hmm...0

I went for the fujitsu in the end. I was going to get the advent 7109 as it had a good spec but the price went up by £50 so I didn't bother. Probably a good thing as on the whole customer reviews for advents are negative. You can get it on the Dixons site as well for the same price as currys. There's a code for £25 off a £400 spend (25XMAS) so as it costs £395.99 add something for £5 (I added some CD-R discs for 4.99) and you'll get a net discount of £20 which equates to 5%. Go through quidco for 2.5% cashback. Mine tracked almost instantly.
