Hi all, I am complete newbie, been lurking on the sidelines thru my BR prep, court and OR interview... this site really helped me cope! So thanks all...
One question tho... have got my nil tax IPA letter a couple of wks ago and am now wondering if will get a letter or not if I am not gonna get an IPA?
My OR interview was 20th May.
Thanks all for any advice...

If you were going to gt a surplus IPA then yes you would be informed in writing with an agreement asking you to signHi, im Debtinfo, i am an ex insolvency examiner and over the years have personally dealt with thousands of bankruptcy cases.

Cheers, but if am not gonna get a surplus IPA will they write to me telling me so or just not bother?
any help appreciated... I am waiting for the post every night!0 -
What did the OR say during your interview? Usually they will give some indication as to whether an IPA will be implemented.
Also, where does your income come from? Are you working or receiving benefits? This will make a difference straight away as if you are entirely reliant upon benefits then you should not be subject to an IPA.When I joined, I needed a name. The forum members gave one to me...I am INAN

They were nice in my interview and did talk about early discharge... which gave me hope...
but, they never gave me any indication of whether I would get an IPA or not. I do work full time but my basic income didn't quite cover my expenditure on my SOA - genuinely!
Maybe I will have to wait a few more weeks?0 -

There's your answer then, you probably won't get an IPA as you have no surplus. Did the OR confirm they were happy with your figures in the interview, or say anything about changing amounts or there being any surplus at all? When I joined, I needed a name. Nope - they never mentioned any of that...
They were very nice to me and we even laughed a couple of times. I was very honest and I think they appreciated that.
Perhaps I am worrying too much - she did go through my SOA with me but never discussed the figures with me at all. She didn't discuss rent, fuel, telephone anything - she did say I would get a nil tax IPA but that is all she mentioned.
Thanks for your replies - it's reassuring me a bit...0
