Oops - please help

Hi guys,

I just got a code from another website for a free Dish from Gratons, so I went through the registration and put in the code. I expected a page to pop up saying are you sure you want to order and this is the price. But that didnt happen. Instead I got a message telling me thank you and we will be delivering your ugly overpriced dish soon. Payment arranged on arrival.

I've emailed them to say STOP dont send this to me, but I have no account number, apparantly I dont get that until I recieve the goods.

Should I be ok to cancel? I really don't need a £90 dish!

Cheers,

Simon.

p.s. sorry this is in the wrong forum!

Did you pay for it? You can easily return it when it arrives if they don't get your cancel message.

If you phone them up they can try and prevent delivery by putting a note on your account (which is what i did after i'd accidentally ordered a random anything that happened to be in my checkout when testing a code, and then registering automatically processed my basket and ordered the blasting things.... grrr). Unfortunately, despite an email and a phonecall and this note on my account, the item (plus catalogues) were delivered to my house.

I should've been able to refuse it at the door, but I wasn't home at the time so a family member took it, unaware of my cancellation (i've been trigger happy with online ordering recently after joining this forum) but there's easy return instructions within so I've set up collection from my home by the same courier for tomorrow.

So far so easy... *crosses fingers*

I hope you get it sorted & dont have to pay but this made me :rotfl:

If its ugly why did you want it?

Just 'cos its free it doesn't mean you have to have it :)
Sometimes it's important to work for that pot of gold...But other times it's essential to take time off and to make sure that your most important decision in the day simply consists of choosing which color to slide down on the rainbow...
