Is this debt now owned by a debt collector, or is it still owned by MBNA?
Very unlikely they would try. Even less likely they would succeed.

The letter is from Optima Solicitors. I think they are acting on behalf of MBNA as they refer to them as "My Client"

The point of the letter is that they are suggesting a settlement deal. The 'order for sale' stuff is just to get your attention.
Could your friend find funds to do this? Or is it a non-starter?0
