02 Lend Us A Quid

Why is it things run out just when you need them?
You know how it is, you’re just about to run out of credit and you really need to send a text saying you’re going to be late. Or make a quick call about tonight’s party. It’s always the way. That’s why if you’ve got less than 50p on your phone, we’ll lend you a quid until you next top-up.

All you have to do is call 4444 free from your mobile and select the ‘Lend Us a Quid’ option. It’s free as long as you top-up £10 in the next seven days and the £1 is repaid from that top-up

So that means if you are running low on credit, you’ll always have enough to get you by.

To borrow £1 of credit, just call 4444 free from your mobile

I have borrowed loads of quids on random old sim cards! Saves me topping up. Wonder if they know I have no intention of paying them back lol.

 how do they know you will topup within the next 7 days?

can people not just 'borrow' the £1 and throw the SIM away??
  • Dont mock this one! I was stuck in Bangkok airport with no credit and a delayed by 20 hours flight and used the borrowed pound to text home to tell them to stick a tenner on my phone.
I have a deep burning indifference

but u can top up using your standard debit card or credit card at no extra cost from abroad?

either way its good i guess, but i just find myself not bothering borrowing and selecting to just top up with my debit card when phoning 4444.
