Hard Drive Recorder

Hi,

Not sure whether the title is the right name for what I am after! I am thinking of or wanting to get a hard drive thing that we can record off the television onto without the need for tapes? Was wondering what sort of price they are.

I've got a humax 9200t (i think)

Cost £180 from amazon, but is billed as "the rolls royce of PVRs" (personal video recorders...)

It can record 2 different things whilst playing back something else, has a larger HDD than most (160gb) and is INCREDIBLY easy to use. (just goto the "guide", find the program you want to record, click "OK" - job done. Even my mum can manage it ).

Can also pause live tv, stuff like that. Can connect via USB to a PC if you want to burn to DVD.

I know £180 is quite a bit of money, but it's been 200% worth it for me (yes, that's right ,I'd pay £360 for it if I had to ). I work in IT, but can honestly say this is the best bit of techy kit I've had for YEARS.

Can't remember the last time I had to watch an advert and the peace of mind knowing that neighbours is recorded every day frees me up to do so much more stuff after work
