Is Greasypalm going BUST!!!

Options
I guess i am one of the fools who thought it wouldn't come to this, i was promised a BAC on 1st June 2011, then after a few snotty emails from a Fiona, was told i would get money on 15 th June, that came and went and i am still waiting, i am suppose to be getting approx £78. Also cashback £25 been promised me since April.

I have tried tonight to get back on but when i do, its showing site not existing, which i read this site, and i cleared cookies, and i could then get back on site, i sent another email asking where my money is, and am i right in thinking they are going bust.

I know Greasypalm has an address which i have, but i cannot find a telephone number, i once read on here about someone from Greasypalm bosses, who said he would sort peoples problems out and had an email address, well i have also emailed that and i never got a reply.

I have read about cashback being a bonus, but i was made redundant in May, and i am finding money a big struggle, so it would be a blessing if i could get this money thats been promised.

Please help, or offer assistance in what i am to do, please don't shout at me, i have in past got 2 cashback payments, but they paid straight away, i did get an email 2 weeks before asking if i wanted to buy some type of bonds i said no thanks, maybe thats the sign of it actually desperately going under.

But surely the amount of money they get in, they cannot be skint?

Thanks, Bliss xx

You really must treat the cash back as a bonus...it is not in any way guaranteed. Do not plan for it to pay a bill. Treat yourself with it when it comes...if it comes. I don't believe they are skint they may just be waiting on the funds to clear before they can pay you. It takes ages. Took one of my payments 18 months to clear. Just say to yourself ... "I got the best deal at the time" and don't stress about the cash back too much.

:p Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S) :p Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money. :p

I do so love when posters come on MSE and suggest that cashback sites are going bust because they've not got the money they think they are due! How do they think that'll help there case?
  • Thank you HappyMJ, i appreciate your reply.

I think your reply was rude and not needed, i wanted some help and you say that like you own the site, i have been reading this site for years and found it a godsend i haven't recently landed here from googleland.

I think you will find a lot of people said they were getting bacs payments, never getting them even when greasy palm has already been paid
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.
  • You're lucky that you even had a reply from greasypalm as everytime I've contacted them, even when I didn't get my BACS payment this month, they have NEVER replied to my emails :(

I haven't received my payment either. Like you, money is so tight at the moment and I could really have done with the £85 that is showing as "paid" in my account, when I have seen no sign of it :(

  • The cashback sites shouldn't be allowed to string you along and give you false hope by putting money into your account and then never paying you.
