I have a mortgage set up with abbey, does any one have any idea weather abbey lend on wooden houses?

What you need to do Craig is to find out the name of the 'style' of the build. If it's ex-local authority, then the local council will tell you if you give them the full address.

Each lender has it's own lending policy with acceptable construction - then once it's identified, to save yourself time, pass this info to an independent mortgage adviser.
