    Hello ladies and gents!
This is my first week here. I had a reasonably neat and new build house before having kids..now I am in a 1930s house with a lot of work that needs doing, and it's a tip! In short...the lower my self-esteem was, the worse my house looked...I never felt I'd get it good enough, so what was the point?
Well, I am feeling a lot kinder and more accepting towards myself these days, and the house is showing it.
I've just got to the point where the downstairs and bathroom aren't an embarrassment, most of the time. It's not sparkling, but I can have people over again :j.

Really proud of myself. I'm no longer aiming for perfection, just a normal, happy home. So I've decided to join up here so I can start on the upstairs, garden and the bits that never get done, like dusting, decluttering and cobwebs!

Looking forward to reading all your comments. And thanks to the organisers for such a great thread!

    Morning

I've got a small load of washing on the line, it's not supposed to rain until later this afternoon but after they got yesterday's forecast spectacularly wrong I'm keeping a close eye on the sky!

Vacuumed through downstairs. My lemon oil came from Lakeland yesterday so I've been round playing with that on my wood furniture and kitchen. You only need a dot on the cloth and it does loads so should be economical. And it smells nice.

A weeks worth in one day???
    Might be possible.

I've sorted out the laundry, I've not put it away yet, just sorted the socks and pants out of it.

Lounge got hoovered but fluffybutt number one is in full moult, tennis ball size chunks of fluff just fall out of him!
Stairs were done, but beagle pinched a pack of snack a jacks and tipped it all over the stairs  its revenge for leaving them with Nanny you know ;)

I've also been pottering in the kitchen, making candles - so there's a huge mess in there.

    Ahh well DW on.
Will go strip the bed (husky fluff AGAIN)

need to hit the garden too, weeeeeeeds. And the MiL sent me parsnips to put in.

And me back's naffed up. So trying to take it easy and remember to take ibuprofen.

Hope you lot are doing okay?
Nowt like tooth pain, you have my sympathy!

Hugs sticks and spoons as needed x
