I couldn't get any at my tesco Scarborough on Thursday. They didnt have a special stand for them only a small shelf that holds very little and it was empty. Thats 3rd time I recall that they never had them in stock when on offer in recent times

Tesco Lighter Choices beans are 87p for a 4 pack at the moment, I bought them the other day.

This tactic also relies on the rest of your shopping being more expensive in Asda. As soon as you buy something that is cheaper in Asda than Tesco, then you lose the savings on the beans. Also you have to buy at least 8 items from Asda for the price guarantee to work.

Yes, thanks both. Very misleading post. 2 packs x4 Branston Beans will currently cost you £3 in Asda unless APG is successfully applied.

Think I had these when on offer a while back and we weren't keen on them - but each to their own.

it's worth noting that the tesco lighter beans are more expensive than this branston BOGOF offer.

also, you get 4% less haricot beans with the tesco light choices along with more water and less tomatoes.

tesco lighter choices ingredients: Haricot Beans (49%),Water , Tomato Puree (20%) ,Sugar ,Modified Maize Starch ,Potassium Chloride ,Salt ,Onion Powder ,Paprika , Sweetner (Saccharin) ,Natural Flavouring.


they may have less calories, but you could get rid of a few tablespoons of tomato juice from the branston version to balance that out.
