So the loan to value and income aren't a problem.

The only thing I can think of is a policy change since the Yorkshire takeover. The Chelsea website is now just a sales portal and all the technical stuff intermediaries used to be able to access has disappeared.

This is a headline from November last year;-
The Chelsea Building Society has officially ceased accepting new applications from intermediaries as a result of the merger with Yorkshire Building Society.

Intermediary business will now be accepted through Accord Mortgages, the subsidiary of Yorkshire Building Society.

Any customer that wishes to port their existing mortgage can apply directly through their local branch or contact the customer contact centre. Applications will not be accepted via intermediaries.

It seems that you can't afford to wait and the only option is to move elsewhere and pay any penalty they will levy. Typical "computer says no" approach IMHO. :(

So, we have seen a mortgage advisor at the estate agents from who we have sold with and we weren't impressed or overly helped and it has left us worrying somewhat. He suggested that we may be able to get a mortgage with another provider, yet we will incur a hefty get out payment with Chelsea and it may also involve having to pay off our loans and debts to be accepted!!!!! Oh and then there is his commision payment!! It just isn't realistic and could put us in a financial mess if we were to have to do that and so the only option is to wait a further 2 months and hope that our buyer and seller are prepared to wait also. That said, we can't really wait that long.......

Is there anything we can do????? Is there anyway of getting around Chelsea's "system" so that we can stay with them and get accepted? Or, can we go with someone else whom wouldn't require us to pay off debts beforehand etc and would accept our 2 years and 11 months accounts?

Or and he/she 'has' a life of Riley, Bet they have never even had to apply for a mortgage, Bet they have no better life than you really,

But these Mortgage advisor/Estate agent/Solicitor types go out on the Piste night after night - Breaking every rule talking Re - Data Protectioin having a good old laff at us - The customers !!

Met these types before, They think they are on X Factor.

Why would you want to cry or even 'Lose any sheep' about just another typical Greedy British Bank !!

    Go forward to someone else....

Best wishes to you all the same.

Thats right, we love doing weeks of work only for the application to then fail so we earn no money, it's a wonderful way to spend your time doing lots of work for nothing in return.

Brilliant isn't it. Some of the responses you get on here beggar belief.
