Ask your venue - ours had a massive stack of them, including a white one for me :)

I got married in August last year and it rained. Not poured it down, but it was wet.

I bought the large ivory umbrella from Confetti and unfortunately had to use it! I was glad I bought it though, I won't have wanted any old umbrella. I hired a car and the driver had his own big white umbrella which was good of him!

I only thought of buying an umbrella for myself & hubby, I didn't have a large wedding party anyway. My photos with guests are, as mentioned above, "cheery multi-coloured brolly photos" ! However, my dad managed to get hold of a part-broken umbrella, so there's a picture of him with it which I find half amusing half horrifying.

The train on my dress was soaked and dirty, but not noticeable in photos!

I would be reluctant to spend much on umbrellas as a "just in case", but that's me. I still have my large ivory umbrella which I'm not sure what to do with as I don't use it, I've considered selling it but there's a bit of a sentimental value with it!

If your venue/photographer are not able to supply umbrellas, and you're concerned about photos, then I'd consider hiring if possible.

I would have thought people would bring their own, I wouldnt worry too much. Ive worked on wedding when its rained, and people have been fine. If you are looking for any heart shaped umbrellas or personalised ones, we have some on the site I work on http://www.tiptopweddingshop.co.uk/catalog/Wedding_Umbrellas-335-1.html
