Sainsburys two week rota

Options
I've recently been accepted for a job at sainsburys and am on a two week rota.
I'm just wondering if all stores are on the same week? ie Week 1 for all the staff on the 2 week rota? I just would like to know as my dd has a few things going on as it's her last term at her current school and it would be helpful to know so I can arrange stuff. I will ask next time I am in but it's not til wednesday and a different store to the one I will be in due to training. Not a major thing as I can't change the rota but it's nice to know :)

Many thanks, Chocdonuty

is this 2 week rota thing you filled in at interiew, if so i think thats your availaility eg you might have put down you could do 9 till 8 as your availaibility but in reality they would put you down for a 9 - 12 or a 4 - 8 depending on your hours

you with me, used to work for sainsburys so i kind of know how it works unless its been changed,

anything else i can help with just ask

Thanks, I do have the rota sorted and it's all arranged. My training however is the same each week and will be for 3/4 weeks and then into the store I will be working at for the contracted hours.
I just don't know what week we are on now.
It just so happens this is the busiest time for my dd as she's moving schools in sept so theres all sorts going on at the moment but once the holidays are here and shes also in her in her new school the hours will be perfect :)

what do you mean what week we're on ? do you mean week 1 or 2

3/4 weeks is a long time for training, what role is it ?

yeah, I'd just like to know whether it's week 1 or 2, it may be different in all the stores but worth an ask :)
I'm only doing training for a couple of days a week but it's for the pharmacy so theres a lot to learn!

I'm confused now. Does that mean that Sainsbury's pay their staff every four weeks rather than every month?
