  • Hi,

I'm sat in front of my new 17" computer monitor and TV thanks to Tesco.

Noticed it was £189.99 reduced to £159.99 on a yellow SEL so thought I'd try a price check, took it to the pharmacy counter where she scanned it at £229.99 (yes, that much - I asked her to check it again).

Took DVD case to checkout and paid with a little shopping my OH had collected. Then to CS who got the monitor collected and brought to the desk. She noticed the error and offered the difference to which my OH asked what the policy was (thank you to her) and within 10 minutes had this very bright monitor out the door with £229.99 refunded.

It is the Samsung Syncmaster 741MP, 17" monitor with TV tuner, scart input and S-video. It is amazingly bright...

My OH has pointed out that the DVD case scanned incorrect but the actual product box scanned correct at £159.99.

  • Just a small one, but 'Every Penny Helps'!!

Clementines and Mandarins, any white Ribbon, 2 for £2

Charged full price for both. Found it accidentally !
  • Got myself a 360 last night!

PES6 package - was on the shelf at £279.97. Manager gave immediate refund - I didn't even need to ask for it!

Also noticed a couple ahead of me at the CS desk were obtaining a refund on a pack of what looked like frozen prawns. It should have been buy 1 get 1 free, but the offer hadn't been applied.

Noticed this in my store this lunch time! is it still a goer? white sel 279.97

    OK, first post here!

Where do we stand on this..

    Carlsberg 6 x300ml bottles NORMAL PRICE £7.49

Yellow SEL and POS stating "HALF PRICE £3.75"

Surely £3.75 is over half of £7.49?

All other half price offers are rounded down, not up!

    Anyone?

Half of 7.49 is 3.745 which, by mathematical convention, rounds to 3.75. Sorry, but if I can argue it, so can they ;)
    Can I help?
