PC World Wireless Laptop @ £299

I think this is the laptop currently being advertised on TV by PC World.

At £100 off, it's now £299 and I doubt if they'll last long!

Anyone bought one of these or have any knowledge of them?

Gaming ability is not important to me (read "no time!" ) but the built in wireless capability is, along with the RJ interfaces and DVD burner.

For those of you who want a cheap lappy and have missed this; Im selling some out of my boot....... nah just kidding, comet are doing some at 299 also, Acer.

Cheapest Acer laptop @ Comet appears to be £379.99 at the mo' or am I missing something?

Had a look 'round and Dixons come the closest with a price tag of £349.95 delivered. This is the exact same laptop but they're "out of stock" as well! All others selling just below the £400 mark.

Looks like this PC World offer is just a 'come on' for Xmas!

Another worth noting is Dells' Inspiron 1300 that has twice the RAM (@ 512MB) but the burner is CD rather than DVD (tho' it does play DVDs). Wireless card included for 802.11b/g. Until 20th Dec also comes with free carry case. Price is £349 delivered.

Post Xmas sales should see some prices crashing so I'm a gonna wait 'til then in true MSE fashion...
