faded black denim

Hi all,
I have a pair of black denim skinny jeans that I plan to wear out tomorow evening. However due to washing there are some lines of colour fading (almost look like someone has drawn on them) Just wondering is there anyway I could colour them in? I could get away with doing nothing to them but would like to look my best lol

  • Wouldn't have thought there'd be much you could, except to maybe re-dye them with a Dylon black dye. However, you may get colour transfer on your skin.

Give them an extra wash before wearing to remove excess colour. Home bargains do the dye quite cheap, I use it all the time with great results. HTH

dont really have time to dye them today before I head out but will definately run a dye thru them in the future to restore the colour :)

Also, for future reference, turning them inside out before you wash them is supposed to help preserve the colour and avoid fade marks too, don't know if you already do this or not?!

Yeah i do that anyway :) Also heard that some salt in the detergent drawer also helps keep the colour? Dont know whether thats true or not...
