DCA Query

Hello All.
Quick question.
I want to find out from the DCA's that I am dealing with whether or not they are representing the original creditor as a client, or whether they have indeed legally purchased the 'debt'.
Now obviously I could serve a CCA request and ask for copies of my original CCA and a deed of assignment etc.
This is un-necessary in my eyes as I do not dispute any of the debts and have been dealing with the DCA's for many months now.
I only want to add to my spreadsheet extra information, as in, which DCA owns the debt and which does not.
This will allow me to have a better understanding of my financial situation and also allow me to negotiate harder with some DCA's and perhaps offer some F&F with full knowledge that they purchased the debt for a greatly reduced cost.
Now, I was just thinking of writing a letter asking them to confirm this to me and quoting the CCA. But not actually requesting any documentation.
Do you think they will comply? Do they have to comply?
Obviously if the answer is no, then I will have to send off a full CCA request and a £1 for each one.
Thanks for listening
