How is it with corners and edges and above skirting boards?

You need to cut in with a brush.

soooo If you buy the pod and a pod paint, could you tip normal paint in the pod? they have very little choice of colour do they?

Yes, or do as I did. Turn over the paint pod, get some blu-tac and push the white tab, which makes it think it's on a paint pod, up. You can then use it with any thing. I did 2 coats of B&Q once paint with it.

B&Q had this offer with any Dulux paint purchase - So I tried it with a 99p tester pot and I got the paint pod for free as it did say any dulux paint . Might be worth trying with this one !!

I got the B&Q one - it was last one instore.

They actually advertised you could buy a 99p tester pot.

I eventually sold on ebay, and Royal Mail lost it. I had to refund the buyer £15.99 - but Royal Mail gave me the actual POD price back - £38 + postage paid - so i got £45 back from them :rotfl:

nooo, don't do that, it gets clogged up - trust me, I know!! I suspect the paint is slightly thinner, not that it seems it when you apply it. I have a paint pod and it's great for large walls such as a lounge, hardly takes any time at all as you aren't up and down the ladder re-loading the roller, it also gives really even coverage - didn't get it for free though :(

I thought about doing this.According to the lady in Homebase ,you cant do it as the dulux paints contain latex and normal paint would clog it up ????

I had paintpod for 2 years.. The is limit of colours but that is a lot better now.. I think they only 20 colours.

Big tip before using one is to look at all the helpful videos on the dulux site..

Paint is a bit thiner and is anti drip.

Pro of paintpod: are on big rooms you save a lot of time you can put the paint on wall very fast.
Price of paint is about the same but you got to buy 30l not 15l.
    Can buy space parts.
Does save on paint as all the paint will on the wall.
No messing around with rollor tray and rollor up and down.

    Con:
Does not help with cuting in you still got to do that.
Limit of colours. But more added in the last year.
My paint pod is cutting out.. it is needing a roller handle cost about £10 but I got a paintpod compact free so I use that for space parts. :)
Need new drip tube every 6 pods not 10 like dulux say.
Cleaning time takes 10mins but you need to run the program 2 times taking 20 mins and the rollor still need a bit of cleaning.

    Tips for using paintpod.

    Only use paintpod paint.
Only ways start your rollor on a bit of cardboard first this will get rid of any water and you can tell how well the rollor is working if paint is comeing out to slow. Buy new drip tube.

Paintpod paint will dry very fast so dont walt 2 hour just give it 1 hour..

Dulux video are very usefull and would look at all of them before using the pod..

Look for offers I have saved a lot of money buying paint when it when on offer.. Buy one get one free. 30L of paint for £15 not bad.

If you thinking of buying a paintpod? To things you need to know.
Can you get the colours you like in paintpod.

Will you be doing a lot of painting? if it a no to one of them then dont buy one.
