I believe that it's fresh meat that the OP is on about, and also the Co-op have some similar fresh meat offers on too - mum was banging on yesterday about how wonderful and cheap this piece of beef she bought was.

Not too impressed meself - i'm a veggie!

She still has to shove the bl00dy thing under me nose though! All I get is 'well I know you don't eat meat, but have a look at this - isn't it great'?! NNNNOOOOOOOooooooooooooo! It's horribly dead - leave me alone!:D

Also, Somerfield always has similar half price meat offers on at this time of year.

Sorry to be sarcastic at this early hour Carol - but is it half of half price or just half price? (half price leg of lamb etc for half price!) Might go back to meat eating if it's that cheap!

its half a leg of fresh lamb for half price, i have had sainsburys meat before and it is really nice. i dont nomally buy lamb as it is so dear.
they also had leffe larger for half price 8 x 330cl bottles for £4.99l

I could not find the 'half price leg of lamb' but the 'half joints of beef & pork' were definitely there ( at my local sainsbury). Mind you even at half price it's even more expensive than the normal price at the meat butchers in central Birmingham, Bullring Indoor Market.
