  • Must make a note of these....

I recently shipped an XBOX just using the normal post office and it cost me £18.50 which was the cheapest option where it was to be signed for.

I wish I had looked into it more now.

or £3.99 from this ebay seller, used many times now

Uses parcelforce, who come and collect, so no waiting in long post office queues. 30kg max weight. Amazing service.

Me too, I have shipped lots of "normal sized" items - such as an elmo tmx that cost me £5.49! Hardly worth the trip to the post office really at these prices is it!!

That was just first class postage from the post office, not even recorded delivery or signed for etc, as the buyer asked for it to be sent the cheaper method  To be honest I would probably use one of the couriers above if sending again tho!

Have just been disappointed by this Ebay seller. Ordered yesterday afternoon and its taken until late this morning to tell me that collection will not be possible until tomorrow afternoon, missing the christmas cut off. Have tried to cancel but I haven't heard anything back. I think special delivery is the only option now to be honest.

I know its a busy time of year, but if he/she had told me earlier that 1-3 day delivery may not be possible, I could have booked elsewhere.

To be honest its not really the seller's fault, as they are using parcelforce, i've twice had two late pickups but for the price, i've saved loads on postage costs.

There's also parcel2go which is around £6.99 +vat for the 2-3 day service for parcels up to 25kg IIRC.

I used the DHL service (£9.99 +vat) on there last week for something I sold on eBay, and the 2-3 day service arrived the following day.

There's also discounts available if you plug them in eBay auctions.

Please I would urge everyone NEVER to use this company, PARCELS2GO, they are terrible and have terrible customer service. If you don't believe me just look them up on here and on ebay they have nothing but bad reviews. I wish I had read up on them before I had used them, I would'nt have touched them with a barge pole

Has anyone used the ebay 'payperdrop' service? The only thing that worried me was the statement that said
    Or is this pretty standard?

I used payperdrop for the first time yesterday. DHL arrived, no problems so far. Buyer should be receiving today.

If you look at the number of happy customers they have in their feedback, I'd say they've got a very neat little operation going there! :)

Wow, saw this post and gave them a go with 2 parcels on different days to different addresses. Both were picked up the day after purchase and delivered first thing the following day.

    Brilliant.
