                    Hi,
First time poster, long time lurker. My local Sleepmasters is having a "stock clearance", and both their rebranded (serenity and tranquillity) Relyon 6th sense mattresses with divans are going for about ~£1,000. I'm conflicted, since Relyon are a brand that I've heard a lot of good things about, and while Sleepmasters are dubious at the best of times (I've seen previous threads about them) it's the cheapest I've ever seen either mattress along, yet alone with the divan.
Should I bite? Or is it simply that I haven't looked hard enough?
Thanks!

Sleepmasters and Relyon are the same company.
I wouldn't pay £1000 for a mattress from either of them to be honest.0

Are they real bargains? Or just another line to get you to part with your hard earned cash?
As lets face it, 99% of Sales are b/s, it's selling, it's given the customer a reason to purchase.Helping the country to sleep better....ZZZzzzzzzz0

Yeah, that's why the phrase stock clearance is in scare quotes. Still, it looked like an almost reasonable price, at least compared to what most of the online stores I've found (yet alone the local department stores) are shifting Relyon beds for.Pinkypants wrote: »As lets face it, 99% of Sales are b/s, it's selling, it's given the customer a reason to purchase.
Oh. I guess the time it's taken the company to go downhill is, ironically enough, shorter than the life-expectancy of their older mattresses, since I've heard good things about them from people who've had their mattress for a good while.Relyon used to be very good but not these days
Ah, I thought it was re-branded, rather than own-brand.Sleepmasters and Relyon are the same company.
That's for a fairly big mattress plus divan, but yeah, I see your point.I wouldn't pay £1000 for a mattress from either of them to be honest.
I've not looked that into John Lewis' stuff, since I assumed I'd get hammered, since it's a department store, but I'll look into it a bit more.
 Thanks again.0

I've just looked at the details, and it contains reflex foam encapsulated pocket springs, and it is a pillow top mattress (2 things to avoid). Reflex foam encapsulated pocket springs are only used in lower quality pocket sprung mattresses.0
