Endowment maturity, final payments received

I appreciate that what I’m sharing with you may not be relevant as every policy has many aspects which contribute to the final maturity value and you can’t make any assumptions by comparing to others. However I know I was interested previously in what people got in their final pay outs.

I’ve just received my final endowment maturity payment, all of them matured this year. Fortunately they were more than last years projected forecast and are enough to pay off what remains of my mortgage (£65K). Several years back I considered surrendering as a lot of people were advising and obviously it could have gone either way but fortunately keeping them until maturity worked out best, especially as my mortgage is a BOE+0.17% tracker. Although several years back who knew....
