The toys r us one... does anyone know if the track is compatible with brio?
    Thank you

yes it is, and compatible with Thomas wooden trains too so you can keep adding to it. The crane thing it comes with was £28 on it's own for the Thomas branded one and the Thomas trains were around £15 singularly so I think that added to the bargain - you should have seen my son's little face light up when I built it and set it all up for him!
  • I don't think anyone in their right mind would have paid £159 for this table!

At £39 it's possibly about the right price. A lot cheaper just to set up the train set on the floor though?!

And, of course, much more scope for better tracks. I can never see the attraction of the tables tbh except in a waiting room or somewhere, as you're so constrained by the size.

(We sometimes build tracks that run the full length of the house. Wouldn't fit that on a table :rotfl:)

Please have a look around and compare prices before you judge. In fact even at £159 it is much much cheaper than a lot of the play table avaliable.

You're missing the point, we have a very similar table to this and there is absolutely NO WAY it was worth £160 we paid £29.99 for ours from Argos which is probably about the right price only a mug would pay more than that for a table with a sticker on it you can't compare these ones to the recent toys r us one that comes with all the track and has a drawer in it as the table itself is much better quality.

TBH the quality of these ones is rather poor for the money and heinously overpriced, i'm yet to be convinced anyone buys this style at RRP
