Going to see you know who!!! Any suggestions for decent eateries nearby? We will be driving but intend parking the car at one of the recognised car parks then walking for something to eat before entering the stadium. Any suggestions?

Battlefield junction used to be good, many years since I've been. There is also a good curry shop near there.
Maybe go very early & take the train into Glasgow Central Station, about 10 minutes, plenty good restaurants near there.

At Battlefield Junction, opposite the Hospital there is a fabulous, reaonable Italian called Battlefield Rest.
    Here is their website http://www.battlefieldrest.co.uk/
    Would advise booking

Everywhere will be mobbed! Where are the carparks? I'd be tempted to park in Shawlands, and get something to eat either there, or at Battlefield Rest which I agree is good. In Shawlands (which is about 5 minutes further along Langside Road, you've got Buongiorno, di Maggios, Waverley Tea Rooms, The Social and quite a few other Italian places.

If you're really wanting to be closer to Hampden, then try the Clockwork Beer Co

Thank you for the replies. I will try booking in to the suggested Italian. Although I know someone with a restaurant close by Murrayfield and they don't take bookings when there are events on. They know they will turn over more and quicker than on a normal evening if they don't.

There are two suggested on the Hampden web site. Both look like a 5 min walk.
