New Job Worry Over Pay

I started a new job two weeks ago and get paid weekley. I was told when I started that ild be on £13,650 a year. However I am only being paid around £247 a week and this is before tax is deducted. Im really not happy as by the time I take out more money for traveling I have less than £200 left.

So £13650/52.14 = £262.50 so presumably there are some other deductions pre tax.

Out of interest how much did you think you were going to get on an (agreed) salary of £13650 ?

Ok, so there is a difference of £3.10 per working day. Have you asked them to check their calculations?

For example, do they provide lunch but charge you for it?

Well why did you take the job then? surely you did the calculation prior to the agreement. If your not happy raise it with your employer, its about all you can do.

I will assume that the £247 p/w is before deductions. In which case, your new employer is shafting you. According to 'Thesalarycalculator' your wages before stoppages should be £262.01 .
Make an appointment to see HR tomorrow.

Also, with such a low salary, you should get a nice amount of WTC, so stick-in a claim.
