There are cheaper strips available for other meters if you can't get them on prescription. The GlucoRx has quite cheap strips, the accu chek aviva nano is one of the more expensive ones.0

The TRUEone is pretty reasonable too, especially online. Its the one with a built in disposable meter.0

I know this old, but just wanted to say I usually get them on ebay. Still not very cheap, but definitely better than the chemist.0
