  • Have a look on Linkedin - search HR and the company - you'll no doubt find some HR advisers that can give you an address, contact number etc.

Talktalk, now there's an oxymoron if ever there was one, a communications company who don't like people communicating with them!!.

OP, as you are starting tomorrow, I doubt they will worry about a reference, especially as you worked for them before.
Trust me, if they insisted on checking your references prior to starting, then you wouldn't have a start-date yet.

The job I started 9 weeks ago involves working with some very sensitive stuff, but neither my agency nor the company I am seconded to bothered with references.

Just turn-up tomorrow and enjoy your new job,

I was going to suggest Linkedin, but Sarahlasvegas beat me to it.

    Thanks for asking,

I'm still working there and it has not been brought up so I assume its not really an issue as they were quite desperate for folk. I think i paniced a bit, but I'm assuming they've either contacted him, or they've not needed to as I'd have been contacted by now.

Oh... Incase you can help, I've started another thread about a student p38(s) form and my tax code... https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/44752672#Comment_44752672

If you can help it would be appreciated

    Thanks again

One suggestion - never include referees on a CV. Then, when a company does want to take up references, you can give them current contact details. (I'm working in an organisation where I've had at least 3 job titles and 4 direct phone lines.) You can also contact your referee to let them know about the reference request they should be receiving.
