DMP Review - email?

Hi

Has anyone done a review by email before? I had a note from CCCS to say a review is due and to call or email them, I sent an email saying I can pay a bit more as calling is not easy in an open plan office - don't want my business known and can't call from home because my debts are not known about.

Does anyone know how long it usually takes them to reply to a review on email and set up a new payment?

Thanks

They need a new income and expenditure form from you. Sadly, saying "I can pay a bit more" doesn't sit well as they need to justify to creditors why you pay what you pay. If you are paying more than the I&E says you can afford, then they'll just assume you're swinging the lead and chase you direct.

If they can't email the forms to you (some don't due to the Data Protection Act) then you'll need to call them at some stage (phone box?) and go over it.

    You mean CCCS?

Nothing has changed except that I don't have the HP any more, hence I can increase the payments at the moment (providing work still comes in regularly) but cost of living has gone up a bit.

The letter I got from CCCS just said review is due, call or email them at the address they provided.

I have a mobile (PAYT) but they keep you on hold for ages and it all costs, is there a local rate number?

    Thanks

    I&E = Income & Expenditure.

Email them with a specific time that you can take a call, and ask they call you then. They'll still need to clarify everything.

I know it sounds like pointless "form-filling", but you'll appreciate there's a lot of "won't pay" people out there, and if creditors don't have an updated SOA, they don't have anything to suggest that you're in genuine hardship and chase you. Unfortunately, using the same information and paying randomly extra money without anything to back up where it's from is what the "won't pay" people do.

    Thanks Mr Max,

Believe me I want to pay it all off and be debt free.

The trouble with them phoning is that they never phone when they make the appointment for, last time they were over an hour late and the last person I did speak to I didn't find very friendly or helpful.

I'll have to dedicate one lunch time to calling them and make sure I top up my phone!

I have emailed my last 2 reviews. Ask them to send you a blank budget form to complete and email it back. It was done very quickly, a couple of days. I too have difficulties calling because of work.
It was straight forward but they will email you with any queries.

    Hi Katu

You can see the categories of spend on your online account, and you can print off your current budget, so just use that as a guide.

Highlight the changes you want to make, and work out your surplus. Jobs a good 'un.
