Got my Court date

Hi All,
I finally called the court today and booked myself in for the 8th July. Now that I have a set date i'm more nervous than I already was! I have one thing that is really stressing me though and need some advice. A couple of months ago I got myself into a desperate situation and had a payday loan ( idiotic of me I know ). Does anybody know how this we be looked upon by the courts? Do I just need to explain how bad the situation was at the time or will it be frowned upon?

I wouldn`t worry, a lot of us have had to do desperate things in desperate times.:pB&SC No. 298

Hi, I know exactly how you're feeling. I had my court date on 3 June and was so nervous that I thought I'd throw up in court. But when I went in to see the judge for all of 2 minutes, it was ok. A lot of my debt were payday loans, as I was stupid enough (or to put it a nicer way, desperate enough) to take out one and then got deeper and deeper into debt. Nobody has mentioned anything about what sort of credit it was. All the judge wanted to know was that I was fully informed about all the implications of going BR. When I confirmed that, he was happy to sign the order.
Hope everything goes ok for you!0 -

You will have the opportunity to explain your situation in the final section of your BR form. Put in there something like "by this time, we were struggling so much to pay our day-to-day bills, that we had to resort to Payday lenders".
As far as the court staff are concerned, it's just another debt; they're not there to judge you
