i have had an ongoing thing with HMRC now involving countless forms of information required from myself, each time every one sent in being warned it takes up to five weeks to look at, which it more or less did. it had got to around the time i was told to call them today to make sure my final piece of information was being processed ... they said yes this week but the cheque please allow five weeks also ... what a drag, is that generally how long they will take to issue me a cheque?!?! it's daft considering i was promised all this money in april when i enquired january at my local office, they just kept putting it back ... tired of waiting!

I posted my claim to the tax office on 23rd April and received the cheque on the 28th of May. So yeah 5 weeks would be about right!0

yeah the thing is though i'd already began my claim ages ago and sent in last document required five weeks ago, then its taking another five weeks to issue the cheque?! just annoying really wondered if that might be just a general thing they say to everyone but it may come sooner than that, to be honest i doubt i'll ever see it ha ha0

Hmm, I'm not sure. I actually phoned after about 4 weeks and was told my claim had been processed the previous day and to expect my cheque within 7-10 days. I actually received it a few days later.0 -
yeah i'll see what happens .. just got tired of the "four to five weeks" each time they had to deal with something else ... i can appreciate they're busy but it just seems a bit pathetic when it's regarding such a minor bit of detail ha ha .. i'll see what happens in the coming days !!0
